Panda is the most famous attractions in Chengdu. Traveling in Chengdu will be incomplete without viewing pandas. There are two places near Chengu to see pandas, one is Woolong Panda Reserve and the other is Chengdu Panda Breeding & Research Center. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is one of the oldest of its kind in China and it has a history of over 2000 years. Leshan Giant Buddha is the larget Buddha statue in China while Mt. Emei is one of the four most famous Buddhist Mountains in China. Chengdu also has a variety of historical and cultural attractions including Wenshu Temple, Qinyang Temple and Thatched Cottage of Du Fu etc. Furthermore, Chengdu is home to the world famous Sichuan cuisine and Chengdu’s snack is another attraction of this city. Gourmets should never miss the delicious local food.
