Yinchuan Nanguan Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in North China. Yinchuan Nanguan Mosque has a high status among the Hui people. The Nanguan Mosque has a history of hundreds of years. It was destroyed by wars several times. Since 1949, with the help of the government, it has undergone several repairs. In 1981, the Muslims in Ningxia area raised funds for the reconstruction.
Yinchyuan Nanguan Mosque covers an area of about 10,100 square meters, and the construction area is more than 2,000 square meters. The main hall is 26 meters high. The second floor of the main hall can accommodate 1,300 people. There are prayer rooms, women's prayer halls, the imam's dorm, and reception rooms on the first floor. There is one large and four small domes on the top of the main hall. Two minarets of 30 meters high stand on both sides of the main hall, and a fountain with 15 meters in diameter in the center of the courtyard. The whole building complex has compact layout, magnificent decorations.
