Day 01: Arrival in Kunming

Upon arriving at Kunming International Airport, our guide will greet you and transfer you to the city for our afternoon visits to the West Hill and Dragon Gate. West Hill is located west of the Dianchi Lake and extends for more than 40 kilometers at an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level. The top of West Hill is the Dragon Gate which is a group of grottoes, sculptures, corridors and pavilions that were hacked from the cliff between 1781 and 1835 by a Taoist monk.

Day 02: Kunming

Meals Included: Breakfast at hotel, Lunch & Dinner at local Halal restaurants

After breakfast at hotel we will drive for about 80 miles to the southeast of Kunming to visit the Stone Forest. The Stone Forest has long been one of the most famous scenic spots in China since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 A.D.). The Stone Forest covers an area of 2,670 square kilometers and is divided into several scenic areas with names like Greater Stone Forest, Lesser Stone forest, Outer Stone Forest, Underground Stone Forest, Stone Forest Lake, and Dadieshui Fall. The Stone Forest was formed by karst two million to thirty mullion years ago. The Forest contains peaks, pillars, stalagmites, depressions, underground rivers, and caves. The fantastic stone pinnacles rising abruptly from the ground resemble a huge, dense forest. Back to the city in the afternoon we will visit Nancheng Mosque, its nearby Muslim district and then the Birds & Flower Market.

Day 03: Departure from Kunming

Performing Salat at Kunming Shunchengxiang Mosque

Kunming Shunchengxiang Mosque was first built in the first year of Hongxi (1425), Ming Dynasty(1368-1644) and was rebuilt and enlarged for many times in Qing Dynasty(1644-1911). The existing masjid covers an area of 10,000 square meters. The existing temple covers an area of 10,000 square meters. The major constructions are the prayer hall, pair halls, wing-rooms, guest house, dining hall and other facilities. In the yard, the pine sand cypress are planted around the building. The Mosque is the headquarter of Islamic Association in Yunnan Province.

Fine Dining at Local Halal Restaurants

Breakfast will be both Western and Chinese buffet breakfast at hotel. Lunch & dinner will be at local Chinese Halal restaurants near sightseeing places. Please be assured that all lunch and dinner arranged by ICT will be at Halal restaurants. We don't arrange pork free meals. In Beijing you might taste Halal Peking Roast Duck, Halal Mongolian Hop Pot; In Xian, you might try the most famous local Muslim food of Crumbled Flatbread in Mutton Stew (locals call it Yangrou Paomo); In Shanghai, you may try Beef or Lamb Kebab and Lanzhou Beef Noodles. If you have special request for Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Turkish, Arabian or other cuisines, please advise us in advance and we will arrange accordingly. Please note that Indian, Pakistani, Indonesian, Turkish, Arabian restaurants are always more expensive than Chinese Halal meals. Halal restaurants arranged by ICT must have Halal certificate issued by related government offices.

Transportations

ICT will provide private air-conditioned vehicle during tours with service of experienced drivers.
