Tour Introduction
Xian is the birthplace of Chinese culture. As early as 11th century BC, the Western Zhou Dynasty established its capital at present Xian and there were another 12 dynasties founded their capitals in Xian respectively including the Han and Tang Dynasties when the Chinese culture reached its highest level in history. It was in BC138, the famous Silk Road was opened and Xian was the beginning place.
 
After breakfast in hotel, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and drive for about one hour to the Terra Cotta Warriors for the greatest archeological discovery in the 20th century in the world. This on site museum has three exhibition halls, the largest of which is 180 meters by 60 meters, housing the continuing excavation of an army of 8,000 terra-cotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the unified China. It is a stunning exhibition of ancient artifacts that is well laid out and easy to view. Back to the city in the afternoon, we will visit the Tang Dynasty (AD618 to 907) built Great Mosque.
 
Its a busy day, but will also include a visit to Terra Cotta Warriors Reproduction Factory for a shopping experience not to be missed.
