Nanjing has a favorable geographical location and picturesque landscape. The Ming Dynasty Xiaoling Mausoleum where the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) was buried is one of the biggest imperial tombs in China. It lies in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing City at the southern foot of ZhongshanMountain. The Yangtze River Bridge, which was constructed in 1960’s, is the third bridge built on the mighty Yangtze River. As the longest bridge serving both highway and railway, this bridge is the first bridge built on the Yangtze Riverdesigned and constructed by Chinese.
